Besides breads and fillings there are also sauces, salads, soups and dressings. These are definitely not everyday recipes (Stuffed broccoli and Cheddar Cheese English Muffins) and I found them too complex in their instructions and ingredients. Also, I found the breads unattractive as the fillings would burst out the sides and top (this is also how they are pictured so I don't think it was just my baking). It does fill a gap in the cookbook repertoire, but not everyone would find these recipes useable. That's why I only gave it 3 stars.

Although I can appreciate Terry's comments on these recipes not being for every day use, I'll take exception to them being unattractive. They may not be "pick-me-up to eat" sandwiches, but I'll take them any day to a slab of baloney on two pieces of white bread! I would say they are for company lunches or brunches. There's the BarBQ Shrimp on 3-Cheese Bread and Avocado and Melted Swiss on Salsa Bread that can be served "open-faced," as most of the others probably can be too. So much for the spilling out factor. After the sandwiches, they give you sides and accompaniments to go with the sandwiches and also a section on desserts. This book has a full gamut of deliciously different, but commonly found ingredient, foods. The beautiful pictures alone will sell you on this one! Enjoy!
